Long time, no write. Sorry.

Okay, so I know I've not written since pretty much when I got here, over 5 months ago, but things haven't really gone as planned.

An update for those who don't know.. Michael and I do not speak anymore. I moved out just before New Years Eve and have not spoken to him since before Christmas. I am fine with this.

Currently, I am living with his mum Jules, who is amazing, and his two brothers Chris and Dom. The boys are like brothers to me and I'd do anything I could to help them out in life. Everyone has been really supportive towards me since everything happened and I couldn't thank them enough.

Sarah and I are very close and I love spending time with her, Liam and baby Dante very muchly! I dunno what I would have done without her!

I started working in a call centre for Vodafone Customer service just before Christmas and it's a great job. I've made a load of new friends and love having the money to get me through month to month.

I also have some saving to do in the coming months, as Rachel is coming to visit in June and we are going to be doing some travelling. I can't wait to see her! It's been nearly 6 months since I left and it will be just over 9 months without seeing her by the time she's here. Gonna be good!

I'm gonna start writing more on here as well as posting pics. To be completely honest I've not really used my camera at all since being here, mostly just been my phone, but with having lost that (as well as my passport) about a month ago, I want to start using it again.

The kids and I are going for a walk after lunch/dinner so today's the best time to start using it, especially being a) a Sunday, b) having Sunday Dinner, and c) the weather being super amazing outside. It's so sunny! :)

Will write later tonight or tomorrow night.

settling down..

So things have been going well here in England. I still haven't got a job, but I have organised to get a National Insurance Number now, so I should be able to go through with the interview for the call centre job that I was offered.
I've had a couple of really good days. And a couple of not so great ones too..

I think the last time I wrote was after seeing Marc and Laura on Friday. Done a few things since then.
Michael had the weekend off so we went to Meadowhall shopping centre on Saturday. He caught up with his step brothers Mark and Gary and geeked out in Games Workshop while I surprisingly remembered my way to Waterstones book store to get The Book Thief. (Good book, read it!)
Meadowhall is huge by the way! It's like Marion but like twice the size and it's not simple straight lines like Marion, it's more of a star kind of shape. It's more twisty and gets confusing!
Anyways...
After Meadowhall, we came back home and I ended up passing out at 6pm for a "nap". Mark and Troggy came over while I was sleeping and Michael eventually woke me up at midnight. We hung out with the guys til about 3am when they left and then Michael and I went to bed at about 5am.
Sunday was a nothing day. I watched tv while Michael slept, a lot.

Monday was really good! Michael had work so the girls had planned to kidnap me and take me to Meadowhall for a girl's day. Rose picked us up from Sarah's place and we got some errands done before heading there.

We went to Primark and I bought an amazing winter coat (£25), a big woolen brown scarf (£8), a laundry hamper (£3), some hair ties (£1),  and a Primark canvas bag (£1).

Rose got this amazingly cute light blue hat and Sarah got a couple things too.
After Primark we got some hair dye for both Rose and I, she went Orange and my colour is a secret. I still need to actually do it.
We had some lunch and did some more shopping. It was a really good day!
I wish we had had more time to hang out, but Rose and Sarah both had other things to do and I had to get back to Misa, since she was outside in the rain.. She's so silly, she has a shed with her pillow bed in it but she chooses to sit in the rain mostly.

Tuesday, Marc came round. He needed some company and I had no plans so we spent the afternoon watching Paranormal Activity 2 and some random tv shows. Michael came home from work and we watched Attack The Block. It's pretty good.
It was another late night again and I was glad to get into bed.

Wednesday, I spent most of the afternoon with Rose. She was lovely enough to pick me up and take me shopping to get some things for the house. We went to this great place called B&M and got a lot of stuff.
In the trolley we had:
Mirror
Toaster
Fitted sheet for my bed
Baking tray
Frypan
16 pc Dining set
Wrench
Cable ties
16 pc Cutlery set
Knives
Microwave dish covers
and Bath/Toilet mats

Total was just over £55.

After B&M, we went to Tesco to get a bit more stuff. As well as ingredients for dinner, I got:
Microwave
Clothes airer
Toastie machine
Toy bone for Misa
17 pc Tupperware set
Glasses
Wine glasses
and some new headphones for my iPod
as well as a couple of groceries.

Total was about £80

I had issues with using my card at the tills in Tesco. For some stupid reason, they cant use my debit card, even though I used it last time and never had an issue. I had to run to the cash machine (yes I put cash machine,  not ATM) and get money out.

We went back to Rose's and she made me dinner. She was gonna make sweet potato fritters, but we forgot eggs so she made some pancakey type thing, which we thought was going to be fail but it was amazing! :P We also had some pesto pasta and some tiger bread. Was very nice!
It was great to hang out :)
She dropped me home at 6:30pm and I got to work putting the stuff away and cleaning up a bit.
I ended up cleaning the kitchen and the bathroom, minus the floors (we don't have a mop X_X) and finished up just as Michael got home from work.

Friday night Troggy came around and then we had a surprise visit from a drunken Dan and a completely wasted Marc at 3am. We stayed up til 7am chatting and laughing.

Not much else has happened. I have started organising my National Insurance Number so I can get a job and I am going to the bank this week to try and set up a bank account.

planes, trains and automobiles.

Hiya.
This is my first post from England! YAY! Getting here was a bit of a task...
Before going to the airport on Wednesday, I messaged Michael asking him if he'd organised a lift from the airport, but unfortunately something came up for the people that offered to do it, so we got kind of stuck. Neil, Marc's dad, had offered to do it if we got stuck so I messaged Marc and asked him about it, but he never replied. There wasn't much else I could do, so I told Michael to try and sort it.
I spent the last day in Australia mostly with Mum. We did some stuff at Marion, went for lunch, did some more stuff at Marion then I finished packing. I started getting really anxious and started pacing the house so Mum decided we could leave early.
We met Dad and Ricky at the airport and met Amanda, Beth, Rach, Cloz, Linda, Amber and Taylah and Nicole at Hudsons. It was nice to have a group to send me off. Amanda left quite early to catch a flight to Melbourne though. Saying Good-bye was hard. Brendan also came to say bye as he was working.
Mum cried lots which made me cry and then I made Rach and Linda cry haha.. oops.
The flight to Melbourne was fine. I watched the Rachel Zoe Project the whole way there.
In Melbourne, I had to check my small suitcase cos they whinged that I couldn't have two bags. I told them I refused to pay for it, cos it clearly says I can have luggage and a bag on the plane, so they let me off. LOL!
After that I went to security and they pulled my bag aside cos I had make up in my bag and they said it was liquids and it wasn't X_X They held me there for 10 mins waiting for a guard to actually be working. It made me late to the gate, but luckily they boarded about 20 mins later than they were supposed to.
The flight to Abu Dhabi was easy enough. Long, but bearable. I watched a couple of movies, tried to sleep and watched the time tick down til we landed.
In Abu Dhabi, I was able to get online and chat to Michael for a bit. I asked if he'd heard from Neil or Marc but neither of us had. He messaged Neil and told him to call him about it. We looked up train timetables just in case. He went to bed at 6am.
The last flight was the hardest. 7 hours to Manchester. I ended up nearly having a panic attack cos I was stuck next to the window, with people surrounding me. I asked to move to a free row to get some rest just as I started to really get edgy. I slept for 3 hours on and off.
I had no issues getting through passport control when I got into Manchester and got my bags quickly.
Seeing Michael for the first time in like 3 months was great. Neil had called him at 8am saying he'd pick him up then come get me, so him and Marc were there too. I'm so glad Neil was able to do it.
It was bucketing down with rain when we left the airport. When we got home, Michael and I ran around to Sarah's.
Michael knocked and both Rose and Sarah came to the door. They both screamed and hugged me! HAHA! Jules was there too. We all sat around and chatted for a while then we came back home.
We went to bed pretty early last night, we were both really tired. I slept very well.
Today, Michael had work and I went into Barnsley and met up with Marc and Laura and Laura's friend Carl. We got a drink and I got some cash out and then we parted ways. Marc and I went to get Laura's little Jack and they went to get Jarvis from school.
They are both adorable kids!
Not done much else today.
Will post some pics soon! <3

today is the day.

So today is the day I leave for England. I'm both excited and nervous! The butterflies in my stomach have started growing and fluttering and soon they will be the monster ones I get often. I am packed and ready to go. I'm just waiting around at the moment to leave for the airport.
I will be flying to Melbourne first then to Abu Dhabi then to Manchester. The transfers are easy its just a long journey. I will do a proper post when I get to England.

See you later.

So I just did my first See you later tonight. I refuse to call them goodbyes, I can't deal with goodbyes..
This one is always a bad one though. Tiana, my Squishy Ti-bag. Gosh I love her so much.
The thing I love about her the most, is that even though we don't speak very often and I rarely get to see her.. Whenever she's in town, she is just as lovely as the first time I met her and she's always there for me! Everything is better with her around! I miss having her in Adelaide fulltime!
I really want to make a huge effort to spend more time talking to her, as well as everyone really, while I'm away. Just cos we can't physically hang out, doesn't mean we can't chat and have fun!

I think it's kind of hit me now that I'm going. This week is going to be filled with See you laters and it's going to be hard, but I am so excited to start this new journey!

so I figured..

..that I should probably start a blog that anyone can read, since I'm moving to the other side of the world in about 10 days. At least this way, people can see what I'm up to.
I'll be updating as much as I can and posting the links to Facebook.
The design needs a lot of tweaking but I can't find the perfect template yet, so this will have to do for now..
